Iowa Lakes Community College developed the need for a new central office complex, and wished to combine this with a new campus entrance. The new facility was situated between two existing buildings at the heart of the campus. The first phase of the project provided an addition to connect the classroom facilities and included student activity areas as well as the central office complex for the entire college, providing the central focal point for students, visitors and staff. The large office complex employs a combination of private perimeter offices and conference rooms along with central open office space for maximum flexibility. Phase two was completed in 2005 adding a new cafeteria, kitchen and cyber café which created a centralized gathering space for students between classes and school functions.
