Placing the new Dallas Center-Grimes auditorium in front of the High School enlivened the school’s appearance. In addition, a new main entrance was designed to make the school more inviting and attractive. A unique fan-shape auditorium design allowed the entire audience of 650 to be seated within the optimum viewing distance of 65 feet from the stage. Accessory areas include convenient dressing rooms, costume storage, backstage work areas, side stage wings, and general stage storage. A connecting corridor to the existing High School opens to their vocal and instrumental music rooms. Additional band storage and physical education storage were also provided.
