When looking to expand their existing high school and middle school facility, Central Community Schools of Clinton County looked to frk to design phased building additions that added function, flexibility, and future expansion. The first phase of work included new general classrooms, vocal music instruction, and weight and fitness facilities. The second phase provided a new high school cafeteria and a production and serving kitchen. The final phase was a three part expansion to the school, and included facilities for everything from high school career and technology education labs, a 799 seat performance auditorium, full competition and practice gymnasiums, and an entire new middle school. These new additions also upgraded the facility to an energy efficient geothermal system that will keep the school performing at the highest level for years to come.
