Organized around a central atrium space, the project consists of several smaller conference rooms, administrative space for other college agencies, and the auditorium equipped with fiber optic technology that can connect anywhere throughout the world. Eventually, more conference rooms will be included in the lower level.
A relaxing deck at the end of the main atrium space, while overlooking the treasure of IHCC's campus, the large amount of woods that envelops the campus, provides a place to wait between the center's classes or events.
Along with many other projects on the campus material and chromatic unity are maintained but applied in a unique way. The precast frames begin to recall the original building occupied by the College, providing an identity to the conferencing center, and recalling the architectural history of the past.
